Clear except for the smoke

Today is nice, cold but clear. But then, in the glory of the fall afternoon sun, warmth radiating down for maybe the last time this year,the leaf burners and the wood stoves start, and we are engulfed in smoke. Might as well have wildfires lapping at our roofs! Seriously folks, it's the 21st century! Aren't we supposed to be beyond primitive technology (i.e. fire) and on to modern healthy living? There's a little box you can buy and when you put it on your wall, your house gets warm. Magic! See below.

Big change in weather

I believe we have seen the end of our lovely 70 degree October days.  It is windy today and rain is coming.

Typical October day

 Today started out cold with lots of fog. It went from winter coat 38 degrees during the night, to tee shirt 76 today. 

Morning fog is slowly replaced by sun. Nearby hill is almost visible.

Rainy Saturday

A huge UFO-style lenticular cloud came in yesterday afternoon, obscuring most of the sky. These indicate weather change is coming. Today, a little rain, 0.13 inches so far around 1:00 pm.
