A cloudy day a few days ago, with sun barely peeking through.
This fat brown mantis can always be found on the same plant. I like these guys, they are good company while weeding. They appear to be as curious about me as I am about them. We have green ones too.

A little visitor in great danger from our cats, who find him fascinating. He went over the fence finally, whew!
Today we took a picnic up the Umpqua River. It was hot and pretty.
The color of the water is just incredible!

Wow these are all so wonderful. I do really feel like i have spent some time in the great outdoors. the river is spectacular! Love all these !!
