No end in sight!

Today the fire is spewing much smoke, no air tankers are going over either probably due to visibility issues. Some helicopters are running south of Glendale though. Sometimes the ash is coming down like snow. We stopped at the Red Cross evacuation shelter and picked up some good N 95 filter masks. They also have fire maps, information numbers, food and cots for people who might need them.

So far, we are allowed to stay in our house. I put the winter door snakes across our doors to keep smoke out and we stay in. The weather station is working and it is helpful to know which way the wind is coming.  In the evenings, it clears up some, as below.
