Beautiful end to February.

Webcam snapshot at 10:15 a.m. Saturday. A little breezy, gusting up to 11 mph so far.

Now at 2:00 it's even prettier!

We're having one beautiful February!

Wildflowers are popping up even at higher elevations.

One of my Rosemary plants has gone crazy with pale blue flowers.

Daffodils are back.

The pussy willow (aka Cousin Itt) is covered with buds and birds.

This primrose pops back up every year, under Cousin Itt.

Our little pond is incredibly beautiful. There are already water skippers and snails.

Spot.

Frog eggs are attached to plants in the pond, two clusters visible here.

Ocho enjoys the warm sun.

Toby makes a BIG shadow! Happy is impressed.

Fir trees and blue sky.

I became intrigued by these silly bent tree tops.

Lots of color in the woods these days.

And in San Francisco today, the sun was out and the turtles loved it!  Photo thanks to my photographer friend Susie.

Webcam snapshot

This was taken at 10:35 this morning. 50 degrees already.
Looks like another gorgeous day for hiking!

A hike in the hills.

A few days ago we hiked in some hills near home.

The terrain was strenuous but the day was warm and gorgeous.

Dramatic skies in the afternoon.

Civilization below. Love the distant mountain silhouettes.

Today: this may burn off and become yet another nice day!

3.66 inches of rain so far today!

So far, we've had over 3 1/2 inches of rain!
Pretty amazing.

Below: pond in the rain.  Standing water everywhere in the yard too.

Spot loves watching the rain.

This high tech instrument shows if it is raining, at a glance. A dish and a rock, very effective.

Rain gauge is working hard today.  The neighbors rain gutter is clogged and flooding our yard.

Water is standing everywhere, new lakes are being formed today.

Cow Creek is very very high. Most of the time, you have to climb down about ten feet to reach it.  Today, it came to me.

Cow Creek still barely within it's banks.

Swirling eddies around submerged trees.

Kids sliding on boogie boards in the city park.  A few inches of standing water makes for lots of slippery fun!

It's not very cold out so the kids are just having a blast.

Just amazing.

Turbulence makes a pretty art photo.

Today, Section Creek is chocolate milk.

Certainly hope the rain subsides before this covers the road.

Alongside Tunnel Road.

Tunnel road, looking west.

Tunnel road looking southwest, toward the mill.

There's just a lot of water everywhere!
