Day after Thanksgiving

More beautiful Glendale skies today, even after .68 inches of rain this morning.  

Ominous clouds to the southwest.

Hard working weather station under darkening skies.

Variegated vinca provides a welcome flower.

A wonderfully grey Thanksgiving.

Doesn't get much greyer than this morning.

Very little color is visible anywhere, all is greyed out.

The pond, seconds before another downpour of rain.

Grey grey and grey!  The reason I say it is wonderfully grey?  The rest of the nation is suffering horrible cold and snowstorms, delayed travel and freezing temperatures. We bask in 50+ degrees with nice rain.

Beach Trip

It seems a shame to leave home when it's this pretty a day!

This guy was the only visible life form on the huge beach north of the Blanco lighthouse.

Huge waves breaking over rocks held my attention for a long long time.  I could watch that all day.

Rocky Sue

Rocky helped build the cat coop last year. She always liked to be "shop kitty" and supervise any projects.

Here's Rocky napping on the deck earlier this week. 

At nearly 18, Rocky took a nap on her favorite blanket Monday and didn't wake up. 

Words can not say how much we love and miss her.
