Fire ends summer.

My wonderful husband took this beautiful photo of the behemoth smoke-cloud.

I took this around the same time.  This is the last blue sky we will see for a while.

I gotta admit, fires make for incredible sunsets.  Not worth it at all though.

This morning around 11:00 am in downtown Glendale.

 Horrible smoke hovering everywhere.

These two don't seem to notice the smoke, however.  Cute little guys!

100 degrees and yet I can not really even see the sun.

Around noon taken from my back yard.  It looks like an apocalypse, and really, it is.

The Stouts Fire, 30 miles northeast of Glendale.

We noticed a large pillar of smoke on our way home from Riddle this afternoon. I took these photos of it from our front porch in Glendale, around 4:36 pm.

It is a 600 acre fire, and growing.

So far,  no sign of air tankers.

Taken at 5:40 this afternoon.

All blue.

More beautiful Glendale skies.

My favorite photo of the group.

Glendale just has the best skies of anywhere!

This sky last week was very ominous, heavy with rain.

Rain pounded the pond, softened the parched grass.

Glendale's incredible evening sky.

This beautiful fiery sky photo was taken by my wonderful husband.

More colors in the sky tonight than a painter's palette!

Wind sock shows there is no wind.

No photoshop or color enhancements here, just beautiful sky au naturel.

Trumpet vine is being outdone by the sky.

Silhouette of hard working weather station under the awesome sky.

I couldn't decide which of these photos I liked best, so I posted them all, why not!

Independence Day Parade in Glendale

4th of July starts out warm.  Happy takes a nap.

It is cloudy and 101.6 degrees.

Glendale parade, a fun time is had by all.
