Yesterday at Silver Falls.

There are ten falls along an 8 mile loop, we only got to the first two.

Note the ant-like people behind the falls, it's a wonderful experience!  This is South Falls, the biggest and first one.

Maidenhair ferns are everywhere, it's a lush paradise along those trails.

Looking down at the trail below. Swordferns are as tall as me!

The second falls is more intimate, you can walk behind it also, much closer to the falling water.

My photographer husband took all these gorgeous shots, I managed to forget my camera that day.

We plan to return to Silver Falls and do the whole loop when we have more time, it is an incredible place.

Today at home, it feels like something is going to happen.

Webcam snapshot this evening, I am often amazed how much the sky looks like the ocean, just upside down.

A pretty day in May

Gorgeous clouds over Dollar Mountain.

I love this big roll cloud to the north.

Trusty weather station records all.

Blossoms coming soon, these are now well over 5' tall!

This rhody has been transplanted twice, we brought it from our old house, it was on a hillside and then again when it was getting too much sun.  Last year it didn't bloom, so this year is a thrill!

Alaskan nasturtiums, one of my favorites.  So cheerful!

May is rose time in Glendale, the whole town is gorgeous with them.

The pond has a zillion tadpoles, water skippers, boatmen, little water snails and today, our first red dragonfly!  No photo of him, he caught me by surprise!

Some of these guys are so fat they are just round, like tiny blimps.

Susie, our Barcelona correspondent sends these gorgeous shots this morning.

Colorful market.  I don't recognize one thing!

I want one of those little suffed boats, looks so good!

The skies have changed to wild and rainy looking.

A bunch of beautiful Barcelona buildings.

Mid May

Cotton ball sky and poppies.

Dollar Mountain off in the distance.

Trusty weather station.

Bee world.

Can you find the little apple?

Incredible skies lately, they look much wetter than they have turned out to be.

Hollyhocks getting really tall, almost five feet now!

Yow, impressive columns of dark clouds, but really only about three drops of rain in there.

Love the cobalt blue sky.

I love how these tiny blue wildflowers pick up the color of the serpentine stone above.

Incredible double rainbow today!

Dollar Mountain.

More rainbow action.  This lasted a good half hour!
