104.4 at 3:00 p.m. today! Now that's hot!

Overnight we got a blanket of clouds which makes this hot weather feel muggy.

Plants that shade the pond.

The Four-o-clocks are coming along nicely!  Glad we finished painting the house before they got this big, it would have been tough to get behind them.

Hollyhocks have gotten outrageously tall!

Iceplant never disappoints, with a calendula flower catching full sun nearby.

Something has been eating my nasturtiums.

Daylilies are happy with the hot weather.

Nothing scary about these clouds, just pretty. No thunderheads.

The pond is already drying up, usually this is how it looks in August. Tadpoles frolicking in the warm bath water.

Just love these hollyhocks so I take lots of photos. I'll save the seeds for next year. this year I got four colors:  light pink, dark pink, peach and nearly black.

Fantastic sky over Dollar Mountain.
